Life Insurance

Requesting a Life Insurance quote over the internet can be like calling your doctor and saying, "Fix Me." Without some basic information I cannot give you an accurate idea of the type of policy that I would recommend or even an approximate cost. Too many internet sites provide automatic quotation forms that will send you a speedy quote for life insurance based on factors that do not pertain to your particular needs, or priced on factors that are not relevant to you.

I have found that this only results in surprises later on. To avoid such surprises I have constructed the "Request A Quote" section of this website, above, to give you my recommendation based on your needs.

Taking a minute to complete the desired information. By doing this you may save hours later on in the process. Your life insurance is an important gift to those that you care about. Lets do it right from the beginning.

Disability Insurance

Disability and the inability to produce an income is probably on of the most often overlooked risks that we all face. Unless you have accumulated assets that can provide enough income to support your desired lifestyle, you probably need to take a look at your disability coverage. Because of policy variances the quality of your disability coverage rests on two important factors.

Your Policy's Definition of Disability and Benefit Triggers
The definition of "disabilty" can range from the inability to do any job anywhere for any duration, to the inability to perform the full duties of your own occupation at the time of disability.

For Example, If you are a neurosurgeon and can still sell pencils on a street corner, does your coverage still consider you disabled?

Benefit triggers such as the time from disability to benefit payment, or whose doctor's can declare you are disabled for benefit purposes are also very important.

Do you have to be declared disabled by one, two, or three physicians?

Do you have to be declared disabled by your insurer's physician?

Do you have be under a physicians care to be considered disabled?

Definitions and contract provisions are what you invest in when purchasing a disability policy. Almost everyone that works for a living should have this type of coverage. Your policy should be reviews by a professional and you should be familiar with the terms and provisions of your contract. Last but not least, DO NOT depend solely on your employer sponsored plan. Too many times the benefits are too little, too late, and not nearly long enough on employer sponsored plans to cover your needs. If you currently have no coverage or would like to have your existing policy reviewed please complete the Disability Questionnairre in the "Request A Quote" section of this website & forward it to my office.

Long Term Care

Long term care insurance is an area that merits consideration by nearly everyone. In the past many people thought of long term care insurance as "Nursing Home Coverage". While it can cover nursing home stays it is actually much wider in spectrum of coverage and the people it serves.

Long term care insurance subsidizes the expenses of caring for those with physical problems and those that may have a disabling mental impairment such as alzheimer's disease that prevents them from performing a number of normal activities of daily living.

Many believe that long term care coverage is only for the elderly, however many of those that require long term care are between the ages of 18 and 64. Long term care costs can erode retirement assets and savings rapidly. Proper planning and awareness about long term care should be an integral part of every financial plan. For information or a quote on long term care please complete the Long Tern Questionnairre located in the "Request A Quote" section of this website and email, or mail, it to my office.
